Chuck DeHart - Shroom to Roam

These mushrooms were in my back yard. Usually see them from above so I thought I would try their perspective. The aperture was set at f/2.8 to give me a shallow depth of field. It was overcast so I stepped up the ISO a little to 200. The 55mm focal length got me up close to the mushrooms. The histogram put this shot about middle with very little brightest or darker tones. I probably should have upped the aperture a bit for a little more depth to get the larger mushroom entirely in focus.

  1. I like the way you used the focus to really catch your eye.
